Olympic Gold!

I finished the slippers!!! They're felted and drying as I type this. Whooo hoooo. I feel strangely satisfied. Now, I'm ready to pursue greater challenges. A full sized sweater perhaps?

Congratulations! Way to go! I crashed & burned. . . sweater didn't fit & I frogged when 80% done. I will be back on track soon, though. You'll love your felted slippers. They're so cozy.

Hi Kathy!

I am a machine knitter and joined the knitlist only to find you are all hand knitters :((. However, I have been making and felting berets and lOVE the idea of trying the clogs. Where could I find pattern/instructions to see if I could convert for MKing please??

Anonymous-- I am a machine knitter too. Mostly I use it for baby sweaters and more simple things. I believe there is a yahoo list for machine knitters too. I'm afraid I can't imagine how the pattern would look on a machine. You need to to be able to do garter stitch for the soles. But somebody might have done it!

Love the clogs. I have the pattern so I'm going to give them a try. Very cute picture of Matt with the unfelted slippers and the dog.

Thanks for sharing because you have motivated me to make some for myself. Beautiful work!

Hi again Kathy! I have a machine that can do garter stitch (Brother Garter carriage) It is really the shape that I need to work out. Can you point me in the direction of a pattern please? I know there is an MK list, but I am seeking new ideas to try out on my machines to stretch my skills. It's fun following on from where others have been, but more challenging to be the pioneer!!
Kind regards,
