I finished the slippers for my sister. Well, almost. I need to shave off the extra fuzz and wrap and ship. Why do these things always take the longest?
Also, for this project, doubling the yarn and using the suggested size 13 needles gave me the exact gauge for the pattern. I can't help but wonder why, when using a single strand, I had to go four sizes smaller for the recommended needles to get the recommended 5 st. per inch. Another mystery.
Finally, we have a bright sunny day, even with a chilly north wind it's very pleasant outside.
