Gauge Got Me

How could I screw up the Live Dangerously No Swatch Hat? I don't know, but I did. It's way too big. And I knew it, but I kept knitting anyway. I decided the yarn is not right for a hat. Even though I saw some on Ravelry. Now I remember that I planned to make a lace scarf out of this yarn. I hope the fuzziness of the cashmere won't interfere with frogging it.

Hat Resurrected

I pulled out the living dangerously hat with the idea of frogging it to use the yarn for a scarf. I'm still not sure it's the right yarn for a hat, but I decided to continue. That might be the beauty of Ravelry. I looked at all the other hats from this pattern, and mine looked pretty good. Also, I''m looking forward to using an I-cord bind off. I haven't used that technique yet.

I'm In!

Ravelry, that is. What a cool idea for a web community. Two people from the UDBB have contacted me. The two biggest eaters of my surfing time will be ravelry and the UDBB. If only we had high speed internet. Oh well.

And, I should be working on Christmas activities. I did block the shawl for Grandma. It is 15"x 45". I think I'd like it to be 48 inches long. Still plenty of time for finishing. We put up the tree this morning and that will be easy to decorate tonight. Tomorrow I'll bake some cookies with Cheri and Jacey. So I'm not too far behind.
